Rickner Smart Solutions: Refund Policy

At Rickner Smart Solutions, we are committed to delivering exceptional IT consulting services and smart technology solutions for your commercial and residential needs. Due to the customized nature of our services, significant time investment, specialized expertise, and the specific procurement of necessary components, we have the following refund and cancellation policy:

No Refunds on Services Rendered

All payments made for services rendered by Rickner Smart Solutions are non-refundable. This includes, but is not limited to, consulting, system design, project planning, configuration, programming, and any other work performed or expertise provided in preparation for, or during, the implementation of your solution. Once work has commenced on a project, or any portion of the service has been delivered or initiated, no refunds will be issued.

Payment Prior to Installation/Implementation

For all projects and services, the full balance due for services rendered is required prior to the commencement of any on-site installation or final implementation. This ensures that all preparatory work, hardware procurement (if applicable), and software licensing are in place, allowing for a seamless and efficient project completion. Failure to provide payment as per the agreed-upon terms may result in a delay or postponement of services.

Non-Cancellable Orders for Parts and Components

Please be advised that Rickner Smart Solutions does not maintain an inventory of all parts and specialized components. Instead, these items are specifically ordered from our suppliers at the time your project is confirmed and the order is placed with us.

Due to the custom nature of these procurements and the supplier's no-return policies on specialty orders, once a project has been submitted and parts have been ordered, we are unable to offer cancellations or refunds related to those specific parts and components. This policy protects against losses incurred from unrecoverable expenses tied to your unique solution.

Project Cancellation by Client

Should a client choose to cancel a project or service agreement after work has commenced and/or parts have been ordered, any payments made for services rendered up to the point of cancellation, including the cost of any ordered parts, are non-refundable, as outlined above. Rickner Smart Solutions reserves the right to retain all payments corresponding to the work completed and resources and materials allocated.

Exceptional Circumstances

While our general policy is no refunds, Rickner Smart Solutions may consider exceptions on a case-by-case basis for extraordinary circumstances, such as demonstrable billing errors or an inability on our part to deliver the agreed-upon service before any work has commenced or parts have been ordered. Any such considerations would be at the sole discretion of Rickner Smart Solutions management.

By engaging Rickner Smart Solutions for our services, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of this Refund Policy. We encourage you to thoroughly review your project scope and terms of service before initiating any work.
